I just purchased this Theraltake cooler for my M17xR2 and it's very nice. Normally my idle temps are 55C with this laptop. It put it between 47-49C with the cooler. And it's super quiet, and just uses the USB port to power it.

I bought it for another laptop and it brought down those temps 10C. But I decided to just get a new laptop and got the M17xR2 which has a much better cooling and ventilation system.

I like Xbrand. I bought two of them for a good price and they keep the computer very cool. I liked the first one so well that I bought a second one for my son's 17" laptop.

+2--I use it constantly too. Aside from a rare issue where the fans hit the grating and I have to flip it over and poke them around a bit, it's worked extremely well. Temps while idle on my t9600 (oc'd to 3.6 ghz) are around 30 degrees.

Do you mind me asking how you got a t9600 running at 3.6GHz?
