Should I happen to find a rgb from a r2 would it be possible to swap? I couldn't find where this was asked before.

If it's for a M17x R1 then yes, you can fit the RGB assembly with no problem, just remember to do a power drain before you start the machine.

Yes, it can be done but removing the plexy is a PITA as it's glued to the actual panel, also you don't need the back lid (it can be removed)

Simplified, your panel was probably glued a little higher than usual :( as i don't have bleeding at all, on none of the sides.

If you have a R3 and want to swap for the RGB R2 screen I think it is doubtful it will fit.

Thanks for the info about that I am not the only one who has bleed :)

You will not be able to fit a r2 rgb led in a r3. The r3 is 16:9 and the r2 is 16:10

Why don't you ask for it to be replaced (the screen assembly)? Any warranty left?

The computer is only a few weeks old, so I have 350+ days left of the warranty. I have already asked. They are not going to replace it.... :(

Edit: Can the bleed get worse? and sorry if I have borrowed this thread, maybe I should make a new thread about this?

Ive had my AW 3d monitor for about an year and it hasnt got any worse, its only noticeable for me in dark areas of a game or movie. Not saying yours will or will not get any worse. If it bothers you bad Id return it if your within the 21 days, if not I'd wait it out and maybe something will "happen" to your laptop and you need it replaced anyways. Im currently trying to fix my sisters acer laptop....the screen is dark but if i hold a flashlgiht up to it I can see the desktop....lol
