The contact patch on the heatsink is copper and the CPU has no caps or resistors on top so I'm not seeing why i couldn't give liquid pro a go and see if my temps lower down from 94c while gaming.

Still, use electrical tape on metal points on the edge on pcb for safety. And please, rather use Coolaboratory Liquid Ultra or Grizzly Conductonaut instead of Liquid Pro.

Yeah, Coollaboratory also make Liquid Pro. But Liquid Ultra is their latest Liquid metal. Aka developed for easier to apply and easier to clean of vs. Pro if you need to re-apply later. Most people go for the mentioned two in the previous post. As you can see from the picture below regarding temp diifference... There are varying results which of them who will comes on top. Next time, probably the opposite. And remember the weaker cooling on laptops ain't the same as a thermal test bench and desktop cooling. Good luck and thanks for rep

Hmm, I use both Pro and Ultra interchangeably... I don't notice a huge difference in application ease but I might have just become proficient at applying this stuff so that it doesn't matter. The free brush that you get with the Ultra is very handy though - probably worth it for that. Spreading that stuff with Q-tips is kind hit-and-miss for me.
