You don't need a full factory recovery; all you need is a system restore to a time immediately prior to deleting the graphic driver. There are several routes to Sytem Restore, but this is one: Go to Start>Computer>System Properties (from menu bar)>System Protection (left column)>System Protection Tab>System Restore button, then select "Choose a different restore point" and click Next, and then pick one prior to the time you deleted the drivers, click Next again and confirm the restore point to be used. Click on Finish and you will returned to the earlier state and drivers. Good luck. it's really very easy and one of the most helpful features of Windows 7.

You can also just reinstall the older drivers, which should be in the Dell>Drivers>R308386 folder. Just run Setup in that folder. If not present download here: Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States].

i got the drivers working properly. the system restore was turned off as default but i wanted to be able to restore from factory image for future. if i ever decide to sell i want the buyer to be able to start out fresh.
