***Interesting. I hit edit on my last post, and changed the title. When I saved changes, it showed up as a new thread. Please delete this dup****

Yes, I searched google and these forums. I've read a ton of posts, but I am still left a bit unclear on a few questions.

    1) Is there (or isn't there) a LG version of the RGB screen for the R2? I have seen the part number LP171WU5 thrown around, but I can't confirm it even works on the R2. Is it even true that is superior to the Samsung RGB?

    2) In either case, if I am upgrading from the 1440 CCFL, I "only" need the screen and the cable? Everything else is already present in my R2?

Dell Alienware M17x LCD Cable (17")
    Samsung LTN170CT08 LCD 17.0" WUXGA

I really appreciate any help on this. I did my research, I swear. I just couldn't find anything definitive.

Ok, just clarifying that for anyone else who can help you.

Good luck on your screen change.

Only a moderator can change the thread title, just press the red triangle under your username and ask them to delete this thread.
You can do the same in the future to get a title change.

    Cheers
