    I've just started trying to route the sound frm the HDMI through my Dell s2409W monitor to my PC speakers, and I'm having issues. Sporadically, I just get white noise in the speakers that comes and goes. Very annoying, and I'm not sure what's causing it. Any ideas?

    I have the same problem with my headphones 5.1 .. white noise is going and then it back when i play any little sound.. i just accepted..

    they have a new idt sound driver at dell may you guys need to update it.i did and it makes a big difference!!
