Hi, I just purchased a new m17Xr3. Yester day i purchased a crucial M4 128G SSD and I tried installing it. Came across number of issues.

I reformatted the original HDD(320G) and placed in on slot one. I put the crucial m4 on slot 0 and tried installing windows7.

it installed windows 7 but I am unable to install some drivers.
I can't use any USB's my comp won't recognize it and in the source CD that came with my comp, doesnt' have the USB 3.0 driver. So I wanted to go online but then the source CD also doesn't have the driver for my 802.11 g/n so I can't connect to internet wirelessly(don't have the option to use cable). I can't tether with my iphone cuz the USB port doesn't work. Is there a solution to this?

    thanks in advance.

when you say source cd...are you talking about the windows 7 dvd or the driver cd? I had all the drivers that i needed in the included driver cd

i would suggest reinstalling your M4 into slot 1 and the HDD into slot 0. SLot 1 is in the middle of the computer and runs sata 3 while slot 0 is inconsistent, fluctuating between sata 2 - 3

hey thanks for the quick reply.

the driver cd. for some odd reason, i don't have the driver for 3.0 USB and 802.11 g/n.

I first put the windows CD to install windows7. then once install,ed i put the driver CD.

I didn't know that slot 0 runs sta 2-3 but i dont know if that'll resolve the driver issue...
