Hi everyone, firstly let me introduce myself as this is my first post on this forum my names vk and I'm in sunny old England, I bough a Alienware m17x R3 this week which is missing the dedicated GPU for a project so been playing with it for a few days. Its not my first Alienware and won't be my last :) .

My question for today is, the Intel GPU reads out as dedicated 64mb of ram in gpuz but shared over 1GB, I have 6GB of memory installed and no more avail to test my thought further which is does the memory rise from 64mb when more ram is installed or does it only effect the shared memory size.

If it helps at all, I'm running i7 2760qm in 64 bit environment.

Any input would be appreciated and I thank you in advance.

PS, I know you lot would think it be pointless to even try this but I would like to know your thoughts. I will be getting a replacement card in due course but till then I just wanted to know if it was possible to raise the internal graphics memory. Cheers
