I know a lot of people have had a problem with this. The ribbon wears out or develops tiny broken connections making it unusable. The laptop is unable to turn on or display the LEDs above the keyboard. Finding a replacement is next to impossible, but I finally found one that works great! It is sold by Mouser Electronics ( http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail...HpKagNw6kODnc3DyG2fXfDiXJZWsE/KkOzVQJTGNV4A==). It is a FFC / FPC Jumper Cable WR-FFC 0.50mm Type 1 20Pin Length 200mm, which makes it a little long, but can fit in the laptop. It costs around $3.90 USD. IT works great and I suggest that when you order get 2 or more for the future. Hope this helps out many of you looking endlessly for this part. [IMG] :bigwink: http://www.mouser.com/Wurth-WR-FCC/
