    hello fellow forum members,

recently i went through the hassle of swapping my motherboard.
after anticipated waiting it was finaly deliverd.

upon installation i experienced a lot of trouble getting to post.
when finally stripping down to the bare essentials it decided to post.
to my shock i found out that it was running on bios version a02.
now i would really want/need to upgrade to a10(unlocked)

    as a update:
just noticed on the bios boot it give's a error.
    System Configuration Data Write Error

so i tried and i keep on running into errors when using the windows phlash utility.
    error code 4099

so i tried the dos way and then phlash gives me another error.
part ID not found in table of supported parts

does anyone know what is causes this errors and how to solve it?
    with kind regards.

Did you try updating to any other version or did you go straight to unlocked A10?
    A04, A05 for starters?

Ok that narrows it down, thanks.

That means that some device is either not properly connected or failing....
It could be that you didn't properly connect everything or you simply got a bad motherboard that was just tested to boot up :/...

Since you swapped out the motherboard i presume you know how to get in and out of the laptop...
Try disconecting everything unnecesarry for startup, IE (media board, DVD/BD drive, HDD's, media board, palmrest, secondary GPU and it's fan (if you have one), Wifi, BT, speakers and basically anything related to alienfx)

There should be nothing connected to the motherboard except the screen cable (the big one not the small one, the small one is for camera, alienFx, ...).
Now you should have just the bare motherboard, screen, CPU + heatsink + fan, GPU + heatsink + fan, RAM, keyboard.
If you get the same error with this minimum setup, return the motherboard for refund because some internal device is failing.

Hello. Just wondering what made you swap out your motherboard?
