Hi all,
I'm testing out my new m17x R2, finally have working crossfire so that's nice. Next issue seems to me is that the keyboard repeat rate is very low - any chance this is a similar problem to the touchpad polling rate that just got fixed by Dell?
My external logitech keyboard has a significantly faster repeat rate (160 characters in a few seconds compared to 120 for the m17x's keyboard). The effect of this is that I move painfully slow using the WASD keys on the m17x R2 than I'm used to on my logitech.
I have checked the control panel keyboard settings, updated to bios A09, removed the synaptics drivers (because I know they can sometimes mess with the keyboard)
Anybody have any other ideas?

Can't say I've ever experienced any keyboard lag and I type pretty fast. Do you have the synaptics driver installed? I found that driver does more harm than good and it's best to use the Windows native driver.

I'm not sure you'd notice it when typing; its more when repeating keys, such as holding down wasd to move in a game....

I've not noticed any issues in games. This keyboard works just as well as the Microsoft Natural 4000 that I use at work.
I also doubt that many games use the repeat rate for movement. There's a delay between when you first press a key and when it starts repeating. If a game waited for the repeat, you wouldn't move smoothly sideways if you pressed and held A or D.
Most games probably look at the key down / key up notifications and apply the correct change in speed depending on what was pressed or released. This allows you to have smooth movement from the moment you press the key.
