    m17x R2 poor SSD performance

    Hi,

    Finally I installed Samsung 840 Pro 256GB in my m17x R2.
    I know that SSD is limited to SATA II 3Gb/s but I still feel it have poor performance. If I remember right from what I saw someplace the same SSD running in R2 had half access time of what I get...
    Installed Windows 8, BIOS in AHCI mode.

    Can anyone take a look on numbers please?
    Let me know what performance you get if you have same hardware.
    Also if you have any tips how to improve it.

    Try the Atto benchmark.
    Can i ask what kind of speeds you would expect? these speeds look good to me...around to 250mb and 350mb is the max on sata 2.

    As I said in first post, I know that this is Sata II and speed will be around that.
    What I'm concerned is slow access time. I think I saw some benchmarks on Sata II with half the time Acc. time as I get.
    Also I think 4K speed is kinda low even for Sata II.
