    Hi guys,

I'm about to order my m17x R3 and I want to know which display protector you use.

Some people said about Radtecth's, I saw others, like ShaggyMag's.

    So, which one you use?

If I was to buy a Radtech's, which size whould I get? Would the default 17" for Mac fit in m17x?

It is the standard one, for "16-17.5" machines. Note that the true size is stated below the "size designation" on their website.

    Thanks.

I'll customize one with the following sizes for my m17x R3:

    Width: 16.2" inches
    Height: 12" inches

Oh, one thing on that; I would recommend that you don't get one so big that it goes all the way to the lid hinge. That area doesn't need covering because as long as the portions like the keyboard and mouse pad have coverage and the mat extends all the way forward to near the front edge, the rear part near the hinge will be elevated off the bottom case anyway. Also, the keyboard area is slightly lower than the touch panel (at least on an R2) so you might get some bunching of the mat or differential stressing of the lid (if one pressed down on it while closed) if it goes all the way to the hinge.

I think the fit and utility of the mat will work out better if you don't try to completely cover every last square-inch of the bottom panel.

Interesting, so I'll get the 16-17.5" like yours.

    Thanks again!

I just got the Radtech one the other day, after reading what all had been written in these forums. I ordered the one for the 16-17.5 laptop, and it works perfect. It covers the mouse area and all the keys, including the number pad, without any bunching and without any excess. That area pretty much protects all of the screen.
