Hello,
I bought a m17x from Dell.ca in December, it's been a dream until about a week ago. Usually when it happens, I'm on the internet, it'll give me a "not responding" message, and I can't close the web page, or click the windows icon. I can click desktop icons, but nothing will happen when I try and double click icons, or the icons will just stick. The screen will usually go black, and eventually I'll force a reboot. Only one time has it froze up, and I waited it out, then worked fine the rest of the day. I called into dell, and the guy wanted to remotely go into my computer to solve the problem for $120,he said it was most likely a virus....I'd gladly pay if I know it'd fix it for sure, but don't want to be out the money only for the problems to reoccur. Can anyone help me figure out the problem, and hopefully fix it?
Also, I do remember accidently downloading "codac c", but I've uninstalled it since then.

Welcome to the forums.
Knowing your specs would help.
If you installed a "Codec-c" plugin trying to watch an online streaming video, it's highly likely that it's a virus. Check out this thread over at Malwarebytes: Codec -C -
It's an Intel Core i7-2670qm CPU @ 2.20 GHZ 2.20 GhZ

I'm kind of a noob, so if you need a more detailed discription, please let me know where to go to find it
