    m17x r1 optical drive question

    can i swap out the optical drive and use my own in the m17x, as far as it can be seen you just slide in the cd there isn't even any front panel, just wondering. I believe it should be possible.

    As long as it's a slot loading optical drive you can.
    Also you won't need a front bezel.

    just a regular optical drive from a sager laptop

    If it's slot loading then yes.
    May i ask why would you want to replace it?
