hey guys the other night something happened that is worrying the crap out of me......in the middle of a game my m17x r2 just sort of.....crapped its self????? it just totally shut down and wouldnt power back on( it did power back on eventually).....the exhaust port at the back on the right side I noticed was REALLY hot.....do these thing have a cut out function if they get to hot or something?

I installed hwinfo32 to monitor temps and see the fan speeds.....my fist card hovers in between 50-70c and the second 50-77c

now the weird thing is my first fan speed gos up to like 300rpm but the second says 3rpm????? ? I tried to use the manual fan control to see if it works and the first one works.......hard drive fan works........second gpu fan makes no noise?

70-77c are great temps under load, but really bad idle temps. Under full load I have reach 82c max.

You will know if your fans are working if they produce fan noise. If it is silent you should call dell.
