    look on ebay for the ES chips, a hell of a lot cheaper than the OEM ones for practically the same performance. Buyer beware though

    ES=Engineering Sample

    Basically these are pre-production CPUs for test and review of quality/performance before major production.

    There is also QS=quality sample CPUs

    I have used ES/QS CPUs for about five years now. If you get it from somewhere reputable, you have nothing to worry about. They perform exactly the same as an OEM chip, accept they can't technically be called OEM, so they're a good deal cheaper.

    As above.
    Used an ES Q9300 in my R1 for about 2 years now with no issues.

    Yes, you can Sir. I'd highly recommend a 920XM. They're getting less and less expensive too.

    insanity only 380 dollars for an i7 920xm man with throttle stop you can push those things 3.6ghz on all 4 cores full time with room to breathe. That is an incredible deal as the overclocked 1st gen i7's run just about the same speed as a 2nd gen 2920xm running stock maybe even a bit quicker And it's not looking good for the overclock abilities of the i72920xm at least not good for the m17x. so 380 dollars for = or better performance then the current 800-900 dollar top of the line chip. Grab that deal fast

    that's the base speed. Another thing, since you are running single gpu and i-5 cpu, you may need to get a 240W power supply if you have the smaller one.

    check wich one you have

    By power supply you mean a power cord or another internal device?, and, what about if my electric system in here is 110 voltios, that cares?

    That's the 150W power supply. yes it works everywhere in the world but with different cords.
    I think it won't be enough if you're planning on OCing that CPU.
    You might want to buy the 240W one.
