    Hello everyone,

I've spent the past ~12 hours or so trying to address this issue myself from what I can gather searching google. Unfortunately I haven't had any luck. So I'm hoping I can make a post here and try to get it resolved.

Originally I noticed this problem a while back when Counter Strike Source started having random FPS drops. Now my computer is to the point where CSS is constantly going down to 20fps, and only up to 40. And I can barely even play Skyrim anymore. It used to run everything really well, so I'm not sure where it's all coming from.

    Alienware m17x10
    Intel(R) Core i7 CPU Q740 @ 1.73 GHz
    RAM 8 GB
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 285M

I'm not very experienced with this sort of thing, I sort of improvise as I go along, so let me know if you need any more information.

I'm not well versed in the older model but on the F7 key does it say I/D GFX? If so try pressing the FN and F7 keys. It will prompt you to reboot. Hopefully it works or I look like an idiot. xD

    Hey,
It does say GFX. I tried doing that already, but it doesn't actually do anything when i press fn+f7, and there's no change if I reboot after I do that either.

The R2 does not have onboard graphics so there's nothing to switch to. Try checking if you are in stealth mode by tapping the "speedometer" icon on your touch panel. It should be set to off (slightly dimmer).
