    m17x r2 refurbrished video issue

    ok so i just recieved an m17x r2 as a replacement for my r1 that broke.
    I have a two questions. My computer came with the ati radeon mobility hd 5870 graphics chip. Is this chip crossfire capable? my old r1 had sli 285 gtx should i call dell up and ask for crossfire?
    And the other issue im having is very strange. there are red aritcles every where on my screen. ill upload an image so you can understand what im saying but ive tried updating all my drivers especacially video and bios. Any ideas what this might be?

    EDIT: ok heres the image. anyways this is an example of what i mean. It doesnt only happen when booting into windows but as you can see from this image there are red artifacts all around the windows logo.
