    m17x r2 Stutter

    I need help , i have been through 2 R2's , about 10 refurbed video cards from dell, and i still experience stutter in games.

    It starts out fine when i first get my cards or pc, i can play games like modern warfare 2 without any issues for like a week. But then it will begin to stutter, i have reinstalled stock drivers, tried out new drivers including the 11.4 preview drivers and nothing fixes the stutter there. I download all my games from steam, not sure if that adds to anything. And i have also played around with the Stealth button from alienware to see if i had enabled that and nothing. My video card temps never go over 80c either.

    My laptop specs-
    -i7 940xm
    -2x 5870m Crossfire
    -SSD Hard drive
    -8g of Ram
    -RGB screen and windows 7

    Not sure what can cause the issue here but if anyone knows a fix please help. I also want to add that for some reason games like Mass effect 2, Dragon age 2, and Batman Arkham Asylum work smooth with no issues.

    Seems like R2s are always a corner rock for DELL. I unfortunately am not such a great expert on hardware for AWs, but here's my piece of share:
    Go for another replacement, some of those machines do actually work.
    Call AW tech support, ask for manager (this is actually important) DEMAND for a replacement, DEMAND for a new system. My laptop has also a very random issue with fans on the right GPU side going off after a week of usage and they did replace it for me once I called and was crazy upset n sort of angry...
    Also if you say that you had 2 R2s with same issue, I would ask what sort of room you got, but maybe its just that both are faulty
