    m17x r2 xFire 5870 vBios update to enable AMD Overdrive!!

    Hopefully this hasn't been discussed yet, but I was browsing around and found this thread showing how to enable the 5870's to enable AMD Overdrive! I guess you can either flash the 6870 vBios or on the 2nd page of the thread, you can flash a modified 5870 vBios that enables Overdrive. I did the latter and can tell you that it works great! Obviously, I take no credit for this, but am just passing along the good news.

    M17X-R2 MR 5870 mod to 6870M with OverDrive Support

    Ya on the 2nd page of the article, it shows that the modified 5870 vBios will also enable the overdrive feature (which is what I actually flashed).

    has anyone successfully flashed their 5870M to 6870M? i tried to flash but it is contantly giving me error using atiflash. it would be nice to have 6000 series driver features enabled everytime we install ati drivers.

    also, there is only one bios image in the attachment. that one file is ok for both master and slave card?
