    m17x r3 4k output mini displayport?

    Anyone know if the m17x r3 put out 4k output on the mini display port? If so would be it dependent on the gpu?

    It depends on version of display port and gpu. I never try higher res than 2540x1600 thru DP and 1980x1200 thru HDMI.

    i tried using a mini dp to hdmi converter to use 4k(not possible via hdmi out)
    nvidia uses DSR(dynamic super resolution) to render 4k and down scale it to 1080p
    all i could see that the over all display scaling was reduced and everything was blurry on my 49'' LG UB850 4k tv
    the television still detects it as 1080p input
    1080p is much clearer natively
