    So, my amd 6970m died.

What's the best card I can put in my laptop. I'm thinking the 7970m??
Anyone know where I can get one at a good price? :)
How hard is this card to get to work?

It definitely is worth it. The 7970 should be fine even though it's not a certified upgrade (we´ve seen many of them working on user´s PC's). The best place to get them would be eBay or the NBR marketplace.

You'e better off looking at the 680M/780M... You can try your luck with the 7970M although the 8970M is probably the better option as it seems to be of higher quality then the 7970M...
