I used to have the hard drives set up to Raid 0 .. I removed the raid from the menu in Ctrl+I and formatted and installed all the drives.

I can see both hard drives installed in the Device Manager but only the C drive appears in My computer???

PS. I have one Unknown device I couldn't find the drive for and my HDMI not working :)

.. Very close to killing my self and regretting why I bought a DELL!!!

OK I'm confused. Did you disable the raid in the BIOS? Did you partition and format your secondary drive? You can check that in your Disk Management.

But it looks to me you still have the raid setup.

    Google luck

I still have the raid set up, I didn't change it to ahci .. I only deleted the array between them which is the same thing. and I formatted both drives.

Do I have to reformat and change the raid to ahci?!

You can leave the bios setting to RAID even if you are not going to use a RAID array. I was asking to see exactly what you did. If you did go into CTR+I and reconfigured your drives my next step would be check disk management to see if the other drive has not been allocated. diskmgmt.msc in Run will bring that up.

If you do change to AHCI(would be my recommendation if you no longer want to use RAID at all) you most likely will have to reformat and reinstall since the RAID controller will not be controlling the drives anymore.

Thaaaaanks alot man, the drive wasn't allocated and It works now. Just curious, why do you recommend changing to AHCI? Is it faster?

Some people have seen better boot up times but overall you should have the same performance either setting. For me I had to change to AHCI because it didn't play nice with my SSD.

Glad you got it all sorted out

    Have Fun!
