So pretty much my r3 been running fine for the past couple of months until all of the sudden, my fps drop randomly during gameplay(tf2). its always on and off with my fps and its seriously getting annoying. after i exit out of the game, a min later i end up getting BSOD which worries me if theres somthing wrong with my laptop.

after skimming through forums to find any suggestion to fix my problem, ive been hearing alot about our intel SB being faulty and went through a recall a couple month back, which adds in even more problem for me because i received my laptop the beginning of the month after the release(hope that made sence).

Is there a way to figure out if my sandy bridge is one of the faulty chips or w/e(not really tech savvy) and do u guys have any suggestion with my random fps drop problem?

Contact Dell and they will change the motherboard if you bought it back in January. Additionally I would be checking that your graphics card hasnt downclocked to the 300/900 clocks (if you have the HD6970) - use GPU-Z running in the background to check this.

yeah sorry i should of posted my specs.

gpu im running on my lap is the gtx 460m, 8gm ram, and i7 intel SB
yeah again~ im not really tech savvy so while im running the gpu-z what exactly should i checK to know whether if its been downclocked or not.

and i got my r3 like around feb 8 so again i was wondering if theres a wayto figure out if i have a faulty intel SB chip. Because I need my laptop for my classes and its almost my midterm. i could always return it at the end of my quarter but i was wondering if itll take awhile to get it back.

    -edit-

ok i tryed L4D2 to see if i get random fps drop instead of tf2 and....yeah....it seems it effects all my game-.-
