I recently upgraded my gpu to a 680m. It's been fine so far, games I play have been able to be maxed out on settings and no problems there.

However, I don't recall this particular sound issue on the old 580m (or at least not to this extent) and I'm not sure if it's something I've not configured properly or whatever. I've tried poking around various settings and nothing seems to help e.g. setting power settings to high performance, optimising for video quality rather than power savings etc.

The issue I have is that sound more often than not is a bit crackly. It crackles, goes back to normal then crackles at random times.

I particularly have this issue with videos - e.g. youtube videos. The sound (and video) will almost look and sound as though it's been slowed for a bit but it happens randomly during the video - not at consistent points.

As it was video as well, I wondered if it was a windows setting I've not configured correctly or other driver setting.

This will probably play ok for you guys but would be interesting to see if anyone gets this issue as well. This video for example has this issue - during just the first 15 or so seconds it will go through patches of sounding and looking as though it's been dragged through treacle.

Any pointers on things to check would be useful so I can see if there's things I've missed :)
