I just upgraded to windows 10 and it seems the nvidia driver isnt compatible? i cant get any higher resolution than 1024 x 768. i tried modding a windows 8 inf file and installing and it wont take. has anyone figured this out?

I've seen one person say that you have to use Disable driver signature enforcement along with a modded ini.

btw this is a driver made for windows 8 because i cant figure out how to mod an ini for a windows 10 driver for the 780m. i read drivers from 8 are compatible for windows 10. maybe this could be the problem?

Great, I have seen a couple of new win 10 users with non standard GPU's needed that 'disable' option. If not done the driver silently fails.

    Try the inf at www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers

Yuo don't need the whole driver just the right version. Follow the driver link and you will be offered the inf. Ignore the search.

    Hey everyone,

I too have a M17xR3 and considering the shift from Windows 7 Professional to Windows 10. As such, and as this thread touches upon, are there any driver incompatibilities or issues that needs to be addressed when undertaking the OS change? Will the Alienware M17xR3 have any issues running Windows 10 with its drivers or are there any precautions that need to be met.

    Thank you,

    AlienwareDomain
