having a problem with my laptop, when I start a game the intel gpu stays selected, I tried the latest drivers and the old dell ones from the support page.

    tried fn+f7 but nothing happens.

I did a fresh install of 7 and have no alienware software installed. is that the prob?

the bios of the machine is A09

the bios of the video card is 70.24.4E.00.10

anyone know whats up? I'm at a loss at why it doesn't switch...

nvm, sorted, needed the alienware osd.

me too, everything about it is great, probably the best laptop i've purchased yet.

great build quality, great audio, upgradable, excellent keyboard, i love the usb placement and the slot loading dvdrw, no flimsy tray to break.

and the fans don't make a horrible racket like the clevo machines. i've swapped out the hdds for a 120gb & 500gb ssd.
