    ive been thinking about applying some new thermal compound onto my m17x. preferably as5.

    however im wondering. is the default thermal compound already good enough?
    my cpu idles around 50 celcius and id liike this number to go down.

    would new thermal paste help out?

    yes more than likely to help, dell uses a generic compound and does a real sloppy job of applying it also.

    damn dell. i thought since it was an alienware they would take they're time to make it as good as possible.
