hi all, any help would be appreciated i just got done converting my r1 to a r2 new motherboard cpu daughter board etc. im having a problem the ram from my r1 when installed to the r2 has the caps light flashing trien both sticks one at a time in both slots so i pulled out the original ram from my r1 both tested as well with those sticks it does post however it does not detect the ram in memory bank 1 switvhed the stick around same thing..but anyways when i try to install windows it always freezes while loading so i load setup in safe mode then it installs but once again when i try to load it to finish install it freezes and when you load into safe mode windows says it needs to be out of safe mode to finish install... so i guess the question is does anbody think its the cpu? its a 820qm es version... anybody experiance any problems with these?

    Hi

I hear ya. Been experiencing the same issues with my ES version of the 820QM in my R2. I can safely say, its not the motherboard that's an issue. I tried the processor in my m15x r2 and it yielded same results. Furthermore, in the bios it registers as [email protected] Gh/z.. Weird! I've also been experiencing the RAM issues. None of my 1333 or 1600 RAM works. Only my 1066ghz allows the computer to boot. Would love some feedback if you've found any solutions.
