yesterday my machine shut down fine, no warning signs, trying to make this short and sweet sorry if it is written like garbage.
Got home and received 2 code beeps (no POST), oh dear, memory? so i break it down put it back together, still 2 beeps. I'm screwed since i need my mobile computer for work. i try to flash the bios to A08, it doesn't read the sata or do anything.
Wake up, give it a shot-why not, surprised to see now i have 8 beeps (lcd, which is fine im sure, or GPU). OK, so I breakdown again, check things out, still 8 beeps.
Resest CMOS, nothing, go for a blind flash of the BIOS and the flash works now, i don't know if i should be happy or more broken down.
Still getting 8 beeps no POST, took the video card out, try again, 8 beeps again.
Called Dell support and they want 400 dollars for a "new" 6870M, but i am hesitant because of the possibility that the motherboard is also shot, and if i have to drop 800 i would rather get a new machine.
Does anyone have any experience with dell spare parts, as in, if i buy the card and the machine still doesn't work will they let me return it or just pressure me to buy a mobo also? The fact that it started as 2 beep code and wouldnt flash is what leads me to believe it could be more than just the GPU.
Does anyone know if there is a place i could get the GPU that isn't a total ripoff like dell?
is anyone wizardly enough to edit the bios so it defaults to the integrated GPU?
Thanks for any input/advice.

I guess by the lack of replies after 70 reviews the consensus is that my motherboard is probably shot and took the GPU with it or the opposite, and that my machine is now a 1500 dollar paperweight unless i shell out 800 bucks for a new MOBO/GPU.
God damn why did i buy from Dell. -

Why not sending in to a repair shop or our repair depot for it to be checked and then they'll charge you the components that need to be changed only
