    mic array not working?????

    I was on oovoo with my gf and my built in mic didnt work it said mic not detected is there a way to boost it or is there a problem with it???? please help any would be much appreciated

    p.s. Ive tried reinstalling the audio drivers and everything I was gonna call alienware support but they're closed and I would like to avoid having to go through them if possible.

    Did you try to activate the webcam with FN+F7? (could be another F-key, the one with the little camera on it). The mic array is somehow bound to the cam, so when its deactivated (that no software can make use of it) the mic wont work either. I was freaking out when I didnt get skype to work with my mic until I hit those keys...

    yea the web cam is on is there a a program im missing or something?

    mmhhh.... does your recordingdevices-screen look like this?

    The second one is my actual mic which reconize sound (and show it with the bar getting green)
