    people I just wanted to ask a nooooobish question, how to monitor fps without fraps? :) all I am reading is that fraps drops the performance

    RadeonPro does it too, but I really can't imagine how much of a performance drop you're going to see. Both programs probably use roughly the same resources to display the fps. FRAPS is made specifically for that function, whereas RadeonPro just does it as a byproduct.

    And I have noticed there is some confusion over displaying the fps, and making a movie of game play. You will see a significant drop in fps when making a movie with FRAPS, that is true. Only displaying the fps doesn't do much of anything, I'm willing to bet. Just use FRAPS.
