ok.. i'm writing in here with my last hope.
it's been 3months since my alienware 17 started to keep shutting down when grahpic card's temp getting higher than 69~70. (bought 2years ago and so far it worked well before 3months. and grahpic card is gtx 780m)

i did everything what i can. wiped up OS and reinstall.
and cleaning and thermal . also ran with only battery without powercode (adaptor) , plugging on the surge protector.
none of them worked. everytime when i play 3d game, temp is getting higher and when it's 70 or so , then
    just suddenly shut down.

so seemed like i had no choices. and visited 2 different brand repair shop .( not dell though. warrenty expired)
and first shop said 'critical virus , cooler dust , os reinstall' they took 130$ for that. and yea, didn't work.
and second shop which was so famous in my city. they replaced cooling system ( i don't know what is that , but it was attatched on the grahpic card. they showned to me that is burned and said replaced it)

and they took 230$. and yea, didn't work again..
every shops told me they fixed. and ran the 3d mark test, burnin test without any error. and i also saw my alienware passed burnin test by screenshot which they took for proof.

but why is that still keep shutting down then?
they said there's no problem with my hardwares.
i only lost my 360$ for nothing. and getting so depress..

is there really no solution except replace whole grahpic card?...

+ i just saw if i decrease power of cpu usage, it could be help to heating problem.
    and i made usage 100% to 75%.
and with OCCT test programm, my laptop held till 84 degree for over 30mins.
but after that, it shutted down again.
i don't know what made my laptop held it more than before. but i tested 3times and it always
    shutted down at 83~84 degrees.
and when i made that usage to 65%, it just turned off itself at 64 degrees.

Did you replace your power adapter ?
may its best to try out a new adapter and see if you still have the issue.
what drivers are you using ?

No, i didn't try yet. and i'm afraid to try it :(
cause already i spent too much money for fix it but nothing worked. and new adaptor costs like 100 again. and if i fail again, i would be seriously getting into depress lol...
    and which driver?

i just downloaded new geforce driver which updated at 07.oct.
    and updated.
other drivers i'm not sure. but i updated everything i guess.
    bios too.

Reset bios to defaults and follow up a fresh install of OS with latest drivers then do some stress tests.

Yes, follow it after you set bios to defaults.
