    my m17x lags when i play GTA4

    I thought it should run fine on default settings. The screen lags and the people move real slow.

    my graphics card is the crossfirex, i have it on high performance

    i did the benchmark test the game has:

    I think it used 3ish GB of ram on myne, that was system running total alone I was around 83% on my oled display so id have to say yeah.

    Nice to see the cpu usage so low :-( Id cut the graphics back a little seems like the cpu and ram situation is fine.

    I also dont remember there being a "Default" i though it autodetected. Been awhile tho.

    The game is also horribly made. That may or may not have something to do with it.

    That's the reason I never got around to picking it up.

    deffo ram i got 4gig of ram and need more to play gta4 on max settings, aslo update it if you havent already as pre update did lag and use more resorces.

    I'm having weird lag problems on GTA 4 too, my problem happens after 4 or 5 minutes after I start playing, the FPS drops from 45-55 to 15-20, I don't know if it's something triggering the FPS drop, but if I ALT+TAB to windows then ALT+TAB back to the game, I get the 45-55 fps again for a couple of minutes, until it starts to drop again, so annoying...

    One of the worst coded game. Direct console port. It lags for me too. Reducing the details is all you can do really for it to run smooth. Still there will be slight stutters every now and then.

    update the game with its patches,also back then i remember i bought a xBox controller just to play the final level. great storyline,bad coding/port.

    Mine sometimes lags drastically when playing any game, I found that re-running WEI ussually fixes it for me.
