    need help getting gtx 770m working in m17x r3

    ive tried several things t get my gtx 770m working in my m17x r3 and its not wanting to go. im using the a12 unlocked bios. ive disabled IGP set it to PEG and disabled onboard video. when i do this all the laptop will do is display a black screen (backlight is on) and not make any beeps or anything.

    ideas?

    well poop looks like im just SOL. do you know if id atleast get beep codes of it was defective? don't want to sell a dead card on ebay.

    No guarantees I'm afraid but it is passing POST tests (I think). Although this problem has shown up before so card failure is unlikely is all I can say.

    I'm afraid Micky is right on this one, I've gone through several forums but so far, no one has managed to get the 770M on the 17xR3.
    However, the computer does seem to recognize it's connected to it since it's POSTing without any issues.
    I don't think you got a dead video card.

    Yup I tried this out last time and it doesn't work. Works great with the GTX 780M though! :vbthumbsup:
