    That's not good. 7 beeps indicates a processor/CPU failure.

There's not much you can do except call Alienware and have them confirm the issue. They may end up sending a technician out to replace the CPU.

That does suck... Well, crap happens. That's why Alienware offers the "best 1 year standard warranty" for their systems. It covers things like this.

    Good luck.

Nah, it's not the memory. 7 beeps signifies CPU failure. I believe memory is 4 beeps.

They're sending you a new computer?

Just wanted to provide some extra info for you - 7 beeps is supposed to be a cpu failure however it is not always accurate. 7 Beeps actually means the motherboard cannot communicate with the cpu - this could be caused by the chipset or the power circuitry on the motherboard. Intel cpu's rarely fail so it is far more likely you have a motherboard problem or the cpu isnt seated properly.

These beep codes tend to not point to the right problem most of the time from experience! I've seen 8 beeps be caused by a graphics chip failure and screen power circuitry failure never a screen problem!

I already tried reseating the CPU and GPU and botting no screen still 7 beeps, I tried no GPU and unplugging the battery, held power button down for a minute same issue, for the life of me I cant figure out how to remove the dam CMOS BATTERY, anyone know how?

supposedly I called today and parts are in backorder !! today the tech says on monday the parts are being shipped out and tuesday ( mostly likely wednesday) the repair will happen . just my luck....

Just to add on to what this gentleman said. A loose ribbon cable somewhere in there could also cause the 7 beeps. I had this problem after I opened up mine for cleaning. Then it started beeping 7x and wouldn't boot. Luckily I saw the loose cable after I checked.
