Did you make sure you are using the 7970 and not the integrated graphics?
-
well i know that 3dmark11 is set to high performance, that is all i know. is there something else to be done?
-
Try pressing FN + F7 to switch to the 7970.

Ok i just realized that. buuuut still things don't look right. At least its now using the 7970 but its not much better score/says driver is not approved

i hate to tell you this, but both runs were with the 7970m
All you did on the second run was shut off enduro with FN+F7.
Hd 4000 integrated graphics does not score 20k in vantage. HD4000 scores about 6500 in vantage...there is a huge difference
BTW, you are in the ballpark for a 7970m...22k vantage is nothing to sneeze at -
Well that makes alot of sense... for a second there i though that either the hd 4000 was pretty awesome that it scored so close to the 7970 or the 7970 was not much better then 4000.
Again i'm very new to this so im trying to learn as i go along. thank you for you help. -
no worries dude! enjoy the beast, 22k vantage is something to marvel, now it is time to oc the beast to see 24k results (which was a SLI/crossfire deed not too long ago
)
