Bought 1 of these off eBay, installed with latest drivers but performance seems really bad, laggy and poor speedtest?

Connected all 3 antennas? (do these need to be in any order?)

The antennas should be plugged into the card with their designated colors. The card will have these colors marked with little triangles; White, Black, Grey.

Mine doesn't have colour triangles either.. doesn't mean they're not original. I mentioned on a few other threads before that although my 6300N has better potential speeds than the 1520, the range on it is not as good. If your router supports 300mbps it should still be better than the 1520 though.

I bought mine with the 6300 already installed so I can't say which wires go to which contact either.

I'm not sure what the result would be with an N WAP/router, but in the same spot in my house where previous G cards have often lost signal, I'm getting 80%+ signal strength with the 6300 on G. It's the best card I've had yet in a laptop.

I would suspect you do indeed have the antenna wires configured incorrectly. I tried to search the Intel website for an actual physical installation document, but had no luck. All their documents were about software, at least what I could find. And the Dell service manual talks about the triangles as well.

Perhaps the triangles are only on the versions Dell installs? Back when I worked as a laptop service tech for Dell, they always had them. Made reconnecting the antennas a breeze. Maybe someone with an R3 can open theirs up and take a photo of the configuration? I would, but my camera is pretty bad. Looking to get a high-end point-and-shoot soon so I can do some macro photography.

If I am not mistaken, if you hold the adapter up with the connectors at the top. The far left is "white", the center is "gray", and the far right is "black".
You can do a search on google and find the correct connections.

what i like is in the service manual, they have the antenna cables connected incorrectly... :p

with the pci connectors at the bottom and antenna connectors on the top, from the left, the antenna connectors are numbered: 1 - 3 - 2.

    1 - white
    3 - grey
    2 - black
