Are you certain it requires an update? It's not gold yet.

Will it just suggest an update but still be playable like the alpha was using my 460 m?

I suggest more of us start giving Dell feedback on the rotten lack of updated drivers from their site or at least not requiring inf mods.

ya...here are the official verde mobility drivers

    NVIDIA DRIVERS 280.26 WHQL

if you can't install it because of "no compatible hardware"...then go with the link that aaron posted. I know there are some issues because of the dell implementation of optimus and many people complain about not being able to install the official drivers from dell

After I did the Vbios up-date I had no problems instaling the drivers from the Nvidia web-site.

I still had problems and its because of optimus. If you look under supported cards it says these drivers don't support hybrid graphics. Just use the link aaron provided for the modded inf and you should be set :)

I installed the beta drivers from this link on my R3 which is running optimus.

Graphics Driver - Verde 285.38 Driver - GeForce

My system has a gtx580m in it and these drivers have worked flawlessly for me. I did however do a clean install on my laptop so its not the factory setup. But the drivers installed without a hitch, and I have both the intel drivers installed and these.

Ill be testing it all out tomorrow night after I pickup BF3.
