    hi guys ive just got a m17x with q9300x and dual 3870 cards. what gpus can i possibly upgrade to will any dell mxm graphics card work with this or only upto a certain model thanks

    Are you talking about the M17 or M17x R1? R1 should be able to do 5870 Mobility Crossfire or up to 285M SLI, I don't think anyone has tested newer GPUs for the R1.

    Sounds like he's talking about the M17 with dual 3870's. Not sure if the M17x-R1 had the option of the 3870, because the 4850 and 4870's had been out by the time it launched long enough that the 4850 ended up in a few M17s. Highest you can go there would be 4850's if you have an M17-R1, if you have an M17x-R1 then the above post is what your looking for.
