    Hello.
    I got my new (2nd hand) X17M R2, i7, GTX670 yesterday and everything is working fine......well sort of. :-(
I've played a sort of demo of BF3 and it runs in ULTRA perfectly, I can search the WWW ok, but when I try to play "world of tanks"
its complete rubbish even on lowest settings. even my OLD Dell i3 runs it better.
I've done a speedtest on "speedtest.net" and my speed is really good. but the game I play the most.......I just cant play.

I've tried to download all the drivers I can on Dell-support and none of the above !!! in device manager are found.

    PLEASE HELP.

Probably because it isn't switching to the dedicated GPU but using the integrated one instead. I don't have much experience with this but search around. You might get an answer.

WoT are pretty tough on the CPU. Which one do you have? The old generation i7 in the R2 might need some OC to run the game properly.

Yeah, WoT is one of those games that defines "poorly optimised"... Make sure it is set under Optimus to run on the dGPU, and if it already was try turning off shadows - that more than doubles my FPS, with a significantly faster GPU. (765m will beat 570m any day, and the 670m is just a rebadge of the 570m) I remember running WoT at mostly "medium" on my 460m/560m - maybe try something other than ultra?

    Good luck getting it running!

About the missing devices, right-click, then properties. Then Details, dropdown menu - Hardware ID's.
Copy and paste the 1st line of each one of them and we'll find it for you.

Hu, thanks for your offer of help.

the first three on the list give details of the same name in hardware id's.
ie, Base system deice say's base system device.?
but the "unknown device" say's ACPI\SMO8800
    *SMO8800

I might even do a complete re-install as soon as I've found the issues as ive ordered an SSD.
    thanks
