The biggest gripe about clevo is that their last gen HM series (p150, p170) laptops can't be upgraded with the 7970m. and yesterday, it was revealed that the nvidia 660m just black screens...this is significant because that means there is very little hope that the 680m will work. So all the buyers of last gen sagers/clevos can't upgrade their vid cards beyond AMD 6990m/Nvidia 580m/675m.

People are angry because those laptops have the MXM 3b slot so the newest 7970m/680m's will technically work...but unlike alienware, Clevo controls what vid cards go in their machines via the bios. We have people installing 7970m's into 3 yr old m15x's with no problems.

The response from Clevo is that the HM series is EOL...but it was just on sale a month and a half ago. So it is possible that someone bought a sager 2 months ago, with the intention of upgrading the vid card at some point and now clevo won't come out with a bios update to enable future cards

There is a huge thread on this in the clevo forums. People are angry that the laptop is not supported and clevo refuses to give out a bios update.

    I ordered mine from HIDevolution

Great bunch of people working there, was on the phone almost every day with them hassling them about my order status and they never once complained!
