Anyone else with the 460m want to post their results?

    Using 3DMark 2006:

Mine at stock was around 14400.
    Overclocking 817/1634/1309 I get 16682

That is very good. How did you go about OC the 460M? Where you able to OC the CPU at all?

Just curious isn't oc to get higher performance 'for' games? I don't mean any offense I'm clueless about doing this stuff.

Those scores are really promising. That means with the 2820QM and the 6970M it might be possible to break 22K which would put it very close (At least in 3Dmark06) to the OCed R2 with 5870XF.

    Bump for knowledge.

Also, how does one OC the cpu? Is setfsb or throttlestop appropriate?

No one knows yet, no one has really tried it out. With what we've seen from UncleWebb on TStop it's probably not going to be able to OC SB cpu's but might be able to change some settings such as TDP, TDC, etc. On Setfsb I don't know for certain with that either. I know there's some OCing options in the BIOS but again no one has tried them yet.

Most likely I won't OC until like 3-4 years down the line, as I don't need it for anything anyhow. 2720QM should be fine for SC2 and emulators.

That is a great idea... Done.

BTW, folks, if you want to discuss overclocking on the R3 and settings... why don't one of you write up a guide on how to do this (including steps and such) for the BIOS settings? It would help to answer quite a few questions and provide a common area for overclock settings, etc. to be discussed.

For benchmark posts however, use the benchmark thread. Thanks.
