On bootup I get the "unsupported power supply" bios warning message (F1 to continue...).
This is the first time I've seen that message, so I'm thinking maybe the connection on the back was loose or something. So make sure that's tight and press F1.
Now I go through the steps to turn the 260m back on, reboot.
What I'm seeing now is performance as if the 260m is not enabled (even though I've got the two green bars at the bottom right and it shows that it's enabled).
So, I'm not sure if my graphics card is fried, or my power supply is glitchy, or there is some software/driver/OS issue. Anyone had anything similar to this? I've owned this laptop for about two years.

Does the blue LED around the power cord's plug light up?
Do you see the 260M in Device Manager? -
yes and yes

Ok, that's good.
So what made you say that performance it's not as it should be? -
The fans are not revving up as normal either. -

Try to disable everything that's related to the integrated 9400M in BIOS and try again.
Or alternatively attempt a full power drain.
Have you changed video driver version? -
I haven't changed anything with the video driver. -

Good luck. -
The problem seems to be solved. The first thing I did when I got home just now is remove the battery. I noticed the battery wasn't quite in all the way as I tried to remove it, I pressed down on it and the lights on the battery lit up. So somehow, having the battery in this quasi half-connected state seems to cause problems.
Strange to me that the battery could cause any issue at all when the thing is plugged into the wall. -

That's good to hear you're up and running again. I would've never guessed without having it in front of me lol.
power supply glitch --> nvidia 260m issue?
