Do you actually have the 3D display?
-
Check your Nvidia Control Panel to make sure the 3d vision feature is enabled. Also, make sure your screen supports 3d.
-
sure i have the alineware m17x r3 with 3D display, with the 460m the 3D worked
-
Oh right. You need to install the new bios A08:
Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States] -
there are only 3D setting-display-video
-
Then you definitely need A08. A01 does not contain the correct certifications for the 580m to support 3D. It won't affect anything else. I promise.
-
what's bios version?
Alienware-BIOS
M17xR3A08.EXE (3MB)
08/08/2011
A08
or this
Dell-BIOS
M17xR3_A10_W74_ZPE.exe (3MB)
19/04/2012
A10 -
Get the A08 because A10 downclocks your SSD speeds.

Don't do it unless you experience throttling in gaming. Just update your current system bios, fix your 3D first.
-
Every time we release a driver update (the vbios in this case) we test it thoroughly to make sure it works on our computers, therefore we recommend our drivers.
-
so what i must to do? i update my bios and vbios nvidia or only my bios? -
-
Just update your bios to A08. If when you are playing a game and you get some throttling (slow downs) let me know and we can deal with that accordingly.
A10 downclocks the SSD because on some systems, one of the SATA ports was operating at slower speeds so Dell came with the solution to have BOTH operate at lower speeds. Just stick to A08. -
ok thanks i will write a reply after i will update my bios to A08
-
thanks!!! i have solved my problem!!! i have updated my bios to A08...
