the first message with the error is correct but when i go to the nvidia control panel there isn't "Set up stereoscopic 3D"
    there are only 3D setting-display-video

are you sure? because i have upgrade my pc with two ssd drive form dell but they have reset my bios motherboard with the version A01

Then you definitely need A08. A01 does not contain the correct certifications for the 580m to support 3D. It won't affect anything else. I promise.

Get the A08 because A10 downclocks your SSD speeds.

It's highly recommended you do: Nvidia GTX 580 vBIOS

Don't do it unless you experience throttling in gaming. Just update your current system bios, fix your 3D first.

Every time we release a driver update (the vbios in this case) we test it thoroughly to make sure it works on our computers, therefore we recommend our drivers.

As widezu says, this vbios update was released to fix the throttling issues, if you don't have any issues with that, I'd say get the 3d fixed first, then go for the vbios.

Just update your bios to A08. If when you are playing a game and you get some throttling (slow downs) let me know and we can deal with that accordingly.

A10 downclocks the SSD because on some systems, one of the SATA ports was operating at slower speeds so Dell came with the solution to have BOTH operate at lower speeds. Just stick to A08.
