Hi guys!! i´m spanish so sorry for my english

I have an m17x r3 with the famous gtx580m with throttling problems.
I called DELL SAT and they would have changed the heatsink of gtx.The heatsink is the same but with several pads more, reduced the temperature two degrees approximately, but the throttling continuous.I called DELL SAT today, and now they want to change the motherboard!!it´s really neccesary ? the motherboard to fix a problem with graphic card ¿¿? I find exaggerated and dangerous...what do you think???

I have Bios A10 and Vbios 01 with new nVidia beta drivers 306.2. my cpu i7 2670qm with southbridge B3.

I tested the fix in this forum, downgrade to A04 and then recovery to mod A08,works well but I want a solution by Dell.

    thanks!

If a modded BIOS fixed it, I don't think a motherboard replacement is necessary.

If it's working fine now, I'd recommend you to keep it as it is :)
