I see some guys oc the 5870cf on 920/1250 or more.I just want to know how they do it? Can them play game on the 920/1250?And what voltage they use?

I can OC my 5870cf on 850/1200 and play game well on 1.15V.I also can oc to 880/1250 to run 3dmark vantage. But I will BSOD in the game on 880/1250.Why?

I also want to know if I use 850/1200 to play games on 1.15V.Is that harmful?

well all cards are different just like all CPU's are different some ppl have OC their 4870's to 675/1150 however I can't reach that my max is 650/1100 and as long as your temps are not outrageously high and there are no artifacts then that should be fine, but what i do is when I play games i OC and when im done i return to normal again.

I open the ATI powerplay. When I'm not play games.it will be 100/150 0.9V and play game on 850/1200 1.15V.The max GPU temp is 80C.Is that harmful?

Nope all good have you seen any artifacts? try stress testing with furmark for 5 mins. if you see any dark or light blocks pop up you have artifacts and will need to lower your clocks in increments of 10 for both Core/Memory. Untill there are no artifacts.

I wouldn't be able to answer that as I have 4870's, but I think that is only good for benching as you wouldn't bench for hours with those speeds like you would gaming.

nope as long as temps are good and no artifacts you are golden
Now we need to get SetFSB up and running for you so you can get that extreme to OC more than 5%

People usually clock everything as high as they can with just as much stability to get a benchmark run through without crashing. For everyday stable usage, you'd likely have to back down the clocks a bit. I myself am a person that overclocks for everyday use in gaming, so I only go as far as long-term stability tests permit. When I get a blue screen, freeze or crash after a couple of hours, I'm not satisfied and try for more stable clockspeeds.
