Yup it's the GTX 260m in the R1. The R1 was never referred to as the R1 in most AW/Dell documentation, they didn't have the R2 yet so it wouldn't have been called R1 without the next one already planned or in production ;) And the best cards you can get(highest overall performance at least) were the 4870's in Xfire.

yes 280m GPUs will definitely work in a R1

and Rapid Response Depot is where you send the laptop to the service Depot for repairs, and they guarantee a quick turn around time 24-48 hours typically

i heard some where that 280's can be flashed to 285'ms since the only difference is clock speed right, so i'm wondering if that was possible the bios would read them as 285'm's but 285m's only work in r2 right?

i'm confused with another thing here, what the hell is this

    1 96RJ4 Card, Graphics, GT1

    also a gtx 260m?

how the hell do you know if a system has sli, it would show 2 CARD, GRAPHICS separately correct

the GTX 285m will work on the R1 and will be read as GTX 285m.

-Look in Device Manager under My Computer > Properties (should show 2 of the 260m).
    -You can open it up.
    etc. plenty of ways.

Also try to calm the language, please.

If you were upgrading you ideally would want the kit which has the primary / secondary cards and the Sli/CF cable.

The heat sinks are different on the primary and secondary cards.
