    Hi everyone. My refurb just arrived! Before I get too into putting stuff on it, I want to make recovery disk(s). How do I do this? I have a recovery partition with the Factory.wim file, but there is no Alienrespawn program that I have read about to make the disks. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    My recent R3 didn't have alien respawn either, but did have the hidden recovery partition.

    I suppose you can download/install respawn and use that, or use the windows backup/recovery options. Or just make a copy of everything in the hidden recovery partition (I just copied the whole partition to my NAS).

    Or you could use Norton Ghost / Acronis to backup your hard drive. But I have found the Windows Backup Tool to work just fine.

    If you plan to use Norton Ghost / Acronis, or any other third party HDD backup program make sure you backup the hidden, small <100mb partition as well as your C: drive.
